The two-bedroom lodge is in the heart of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and is ideal for a self-catering Highland holiday as a couple, family or with friends. As part of the award-winning Portnellan Estate, which has been in the care of the same family for more than 40 years, you can enjoy salmon and trout fishing, rowing boats, kayaks, a games room and acres of grounds to explore on foot or bike. New for 2025 is the “BBQ hutte” which is available to hire allowing you to enjoy a real flame BBQ experience and the outdoor “Sauna Shack” complete with cold water plunge barrel.
Portnellan, while secluded, is conveniently close to the nearby beauty spots of Glen Coe, Glen Lyon, Loch Tay, Glen Orchy, Glen Lochay, and Glen Etvie. It's just a 20-minute drive from the iconic Loch Lomond. Other places to visit within easy access include Oban, Stirling, Perth and Fort William. Each area has a unique history and landscape that appeals to all ages and interests. Glasgow is just over an hour's drive, and you're just 90 minutes from Edinburgh, opening up a huge array of sights and attractions.

Whooper Lodge is a single-storey cottage with a private south-facing balcony and spectacular mountain views of Ben More.
Outside: There is parking for two cars next to Whooper Lodge. Guests share the estate's amenities, which include a games room, four miles of river and lake fishing, and acres of woodland. Rowing boats, paddle boards, and kayaks are available to borrow.
Additional Information: A travel cot and a highchair are available on request. Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are provided. Dogs are welcome by arrangement.
