It is ideally situated just four miles from Snape Maltings and eight miles from the popular coastal town of Aldeburgh - providing the ideal base to enjoy all that Suffolk and its beautiful coastline has to offer. It's perfect for romantic getaways for couples, 'me-time' holidays alone, and for walkers or bird watchers.

Saxmundham is a historic market-town on the old Coaching route from Lowestoft to London, with pretty Georgian and Victorian cottages and shops.
Located just five hundred yards from the High Street, Chapel Cottage is close to the good selection of interesting independent shops to browse. There is also a newsagents, stationers, bakers, chemist, hairdressers, pet shop plus two supermarkets - Waitrose and Tesco (both open seven days). This charming town even has its own Museum and two small art galleries, along with a wide variety of cafes, restaurants and take-away outlets catering for all tastes and budgets.
Evening meal recommendations include... The Bell (in the High Street, five mins walk away) - the food is excellent and so reasonably priced! Plus, “Poacher’s Pocket” - a traditional, quaint country pub serving home-cooked meals and real ales (just five minutes by car or a pleasant thirty minute walk through the Country Park).
Excellent Public Transport links provide easy access by train or bus to all places of interest, including: the seaside towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold, the pretty riverside town of Woodbridge, the castles at Orford and Framlingham, the RSPB Minsmere and other Nature Reserves.

The cottage has been renovated to provide guests with all the modern comforts and conveniences you would expect and has many period-style features to add interest. It is quite small, but very lovely and is suitable for a single person or couple. Sorry - no pets, or children (including infants), and no smoking inside the cottage. The stairs are quite steep (there is a handrail), so it may not be suitable for guests with any mobility problems.
