Elm Cottage is ideal for couples or families who want to experience the best of North Wales' mountains and coast. The lovely cottage is one of six self-catering properties on the Graiglwyd Estate and sleeps up to four people in two bedrooms. The owners want to ensure their guests enjoy their stay thoroughly, which is why you can expect high-quality appliances and furnishings and all the little extras that make a holiday cottage into a great home from home.
The Graiglwyd Estate is next to the Snowdonia National Park and only four miles from Conwy. Guests can enjoy spectacular views of mountains and the Menai Straits as they sit in the peaceful garden that is at the end of a mile-long private drive. There is no passing traffic to disturb your sleep, and the lack of light pollution makes stargazing an experience to remember.
Shops, cafes, pubs and other amenities are just a few miles away in the medieval town of Conwy, where the magnificent castle has dominated the skyline since its completion in 1289 at the order. In contrast, Britain's smallest house sits in the shadow of the town's walls, giving a contrasting look into the lives of residents over the centuries. Caernarfon, Beaumaris and Harlech castles are all nearby, all of them part of Edward I's imposing Iron Ring.
Another town worth visiting on your holiday is Llandudno. The appeal of this seaside resort is as strong as ever, and somewhere you can enjoy traditional entertainments like a walk along the promenade, or eating an ice-cream as you watch a puppet show.
Penmaenmawr beach is only a mile from the cottage, and it is possible to walk or cycle if you want to leave the car behind. Surf Snowdonia and Zip World are two more options for an exciting day out, while Bodnant Garden offers a more serene environment with 80 acres of beautiful plants and scenic views. The Graiglwyd Estate has a 2.5-acre fishery on site which guests are welcome to use for an additional fee.

Elm Cottage is dog-friendly, and offers bijou accommodation that is all on one level.
Outside: Elm Cottage has a flat lawn area at the rear with a picnic bench and seating (BBQ available on request). There is allocated parking close to the front of the cottage.
Additional information: Utilities, WiFi, sheets and bath towels are included. Short breaks are available from October to April, depending on availability. Well-behaved dogs are welcome with prior agreement from the owner. Smoking is not permitted. Cot available by prior arrangement.
