Ash Cottage is a wonderful cottage in a beautiful location close to the Snowdonia National Park with lovely views of the mountains and beach. It is one of six, lovely self-catering cottages on the private Graiglwyd Estate just a few miles from Conwy and close to beautiful beaches and countryside. Being at the end of a mile-long private driveway means there is no passing traffic to disturb the peace and gives children the opportunity to play safely in the acre of garden surrounding the cottages. Ash Cottage is a popular choice for families as it can accommodate up to six people in three bedrooms.
The Graiglwyd Estate is ideal for a holiday in North Wales as it is close to some of the region's best attractions. Being only four miles away means that you can cycle to Conwy if you do not want to drive, making it easy to get to shops and other amenities. Conwy is a fantastic town with lots to see, from the jaw-dropping enormity of Conwy Castle to the smallest house in Britain. Conwy also has a great choice of places to eat and drink as well as shops and supermarkets so you can self-cater or eat out as you choose. Llandudno is also nearby with its sandy beach and seaside attractions that make it a favourite with visitors of all ages. Zip World, Surf Snowdonia and Bodnant Garden are all also within easy reach for a fun day out.
Snowdonia National Park is utterly breathtaking in every season and you will not be surprised to find that it has been a popular destination for tourists since Victorian times. The Snowdon Mountain Railway has been carrying passengers to the peak of the mountain for more than 100 years, and a great way to experience the scale of the landscape is to take the train to the top and walk back down along a well-trodden path. Hikers, ramblers and mountain bikers all love this part of North Wales for the many excellent trails it offers, with something to suit every taste and ability. Golf, horse riding and kayaking are all nearby, and there is the opportunity to fly-fish on site at the Graiglwyd Springs trout fishery.
Ash Cottage can be booked on its own or together with one or more of the other cottages on the Graiglwyd Estate. The owners have carefully considered every detail to ensure their guests feel welcome and appreciated, with individual touches that help to ensure your holiday is everything you want it to be. Accommodation at Ash Cottage is all on one level with accessible bathroom and kitchen.
Outside: There is a large glass balcony for relaxing, and guests have the shared access of an acre of lawn garden. Guests have allocated parking to the front of the cottage. Graiglwyd Estate has a 2.5-acre trout fishing lake that is stocked daily and which guests are welcome to fish seasonally (additional charges apply). BBQ available on request.
Additional Information: Ash Cottage has central heating and WiFi. Well-behaved dogs are welcome with prior agreement from the owner - please enquire when booking. All utilities, sheets and towels are included. No smoking. Cot available upon request. Short breaks available from October through to April.
