Gweld Carn Llidi is a modern St David's holiday cottage, a brief stroll from the famous cathedral and town centre. You will find a well-stocked independent supermarket, butcher, deli, cafes, pubs, banks, and other amenities. If you're the sort of family who likes dining out without having to drive, this place is perfect. It sleeps six people in three bedrooms with an enclosed garden and off-street parking for two cars (a feature highly coveted in this historic city where roads were designed before cars were a thing!) It isn't simply a convenient base for your Pembrokeshire holiday but a welcoming home-away-from-home.
Croeso i Tyddewi - Welcome to St David's. Wales' smallest city with its finest cathedral has been the heart of the Christian community in Wales since the sixth century, though the current building is a mere 900 years old, dating from 1181. You don't need to be religious to appreciate the beauty and serenity of a building imbued with centuries of prayer. Across the River Alun is the romantic (some say haunted) Gothic ruins of the medieval Bishops Palace now used for picnics and a summer series of open-air performances. Stop by Pebbles Yard Gallery for coffee and displays from local photographers and artists, or view the displays at Oriel y Parc Gallery.
Day trips from St Davids can include boat hopping and wildlife watching around Ramsey, Grassholm, Skokholm and Skomer Islands, spotting seals, dolphins and puffins. Discover why Pembrokeshire beaches are considered some of the best in Britain at Whitesands Bay, Caerfai Bay, and Newgale Sands. Go surfing, sea kayaking, coasteering or windsurfing. Hire a bike and explore on two wheels, or put on your most comfortable shoes and walk a stretch of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path - the four miles from St David's Head to Solva has spectacular views. Folly Farm, Oakwood and Tenby are also close enough for fun and adventure.
Gweld Carn Llidi refers to the fantastic views guests have of Carn Llidi from the house and garden. There are beautiful walks from St David's and out to the coast and surrounding countryside, with good public transport links via the Puffin Shuttle if you want to walk out one way and catch the bus back. The cottage is available all year round for bookings.

Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are included. Guests to bring beach towels if they are required. Smoking and pets are not permitted.
