About The Haven

The Haven is a luxury Peak District holiday home in a beautiful location. It's in the charming village of Two Dales, and you can walk to a friendly cafe for your morning coffee or the Plough Inn if you fancy a pint after lunch or a night off from cooking. The cottage has a timeless feel thanks to the owner's stylish eye for decorating. Three of the five bedrooms are ensuite, which makes the layout perfect for multi-generational families or friends. Features include superb self-catering facilities, a sheltered outdoor hot tub, a games room, and a 65-inch TV with a complete package of Sky channels.

Two Dales is a traditional Derbyshire village between Bakewell and Matlock. It's right on the edge of the Peak District National Park, so you have great access to the fantastic walks and mountain bike trails for which the region is famous, yet also close to the restaurants and other amenities of Matlock and Matlock Spa. If you love to browse and bag a bargain, then you won't want to miss Bakewell's busy Monday market with more than 100 vendors. Remember to pick up a delicious Bakewell pudding to enjoy with a cup of tea back at The Haven. Days out can include all the thrill of the rides at Alton Towers and Gulliver's Kingdom, admiring the magnificence of Chatsworth House and Gardens, going back in time at Crich Tramway Village, and fantastic historic buildings like Haddon Hall and the Hardwick Estate. The Heights of Abraham cable cars are always fun.

It's impossible to beat the views from the High Peak Trail or Monsal Trail - just two of the many wonderful footpaths and cycling routes in the Peak District and Derbyshire Dales. With more than 500 square miles of national park on your doorstep, boasting magical moorland, rolling fields and countryside, impressive peaks, picturesque villages and towns, rivers, and woodlands, it's easy to see why so many people say that this is their favourite UK holiday destination.

Every season is spectacularly beautiful in the Peak District. It's ideal for big families but also great for a reunion with friends or celebrating Christmas or a milestone birthday with a luxury self-catering Peak District holiday. Accommodation Comprises:

The owner's care and attention to detail are evident in every room of The Haven. An open plan layout, restful colour scheme, and accommodation over two levels create the perfect space for socialising and relaxing.

Downstairs:

Substantial open-plan living area, dining room and kitchen. The layout naturally encourages people to spend time together yet can also function as separate spaces if the kids want to watch TV while you're preparing food or to linger over meals. Glass doors open onto the patio and outdoor dining and entertainment area.
Four of the five bedrooms are on the ground floor, providing easy access for guests with limited mobility or who prefer to avoid stairs. All beds feature super-soft Egyptian cotton linen, high-quality bedding, and memory foam mattresses to aid deep and restful sleep.
Bedroom One is a spacious twin with two single beds and an accessible wetroom ensuite.
Bedroom Two is another lovely twin with an ensuite shower room.
Bedrooms Three and Four feature king-sized beds, with one room opening onto the patio and outdoor spa area.
A large family bathroom has a corner bath and overhead shower, WC and a handbasin.

Upstairs:

Bedroom Five is a twin room with two full-sized single beds and an ensuite bathroom.

Outside: A separate outbuilding houses a games room with a pool table and darts. There is an outdoor dining area with a barbecue, a covered hot tub, and parking for five cars.

Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are included when you stay at The Haven. Pets and smoking are not permitted.
