It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. The owner has used high-quality furnishings, natural textures, and a colour palette that reflects the spectacular surroundings of this romantically wild corner of the Scotland/England border country.
The Tarset Valley views are incredible during the day and the dark skies breathtaking at night. It's a fantastic place for walking, whether you are a hiker, rambler, or you love a relaxed meander. Follow the Reivers Trail, the Sidwood Trail, the Bastle Trail, a stretch of the Pennine Way, or the paths around Greenhaugh. You'll barely see another soul as you explore, giving you the sense of being the only person for miles and the pleasure of enjoying the hidden picnic and swimming spots to yourself. You're only a few miles from Kielder Water and Forest Park, with its many attractions including water sports, lakeview footpaths and cycle routes. Kielder is a favourite with mountain bikers for its extensive network of trails and for nature lovers who come to spot the ospreys and red squirrels that thrive in this peaceful and protected environment.
Attractions near The Comb Farmhouse include Black Middens Bastle, Hareshaw Linn, Bellingham Heritage Centre, and Hadrian's Wall or day trips to the gorgeous beaches of the Northumberland coast, Alnwick Castle or Cragside. You can fish for salmon and trout on the River Rede and Sweethope Loughs, play golf at Bellingham, Hawick or Hexham and there is usually something fun or exciting happening like an agricultural show or a festival.
