Pele View is a generously proportioned stone cottage set beside the shoreline in Cresswell, Northumberland, offering sea views to the rear and open views across fields to the medieval Pele Tower at the front. With its wide, open-plan ground floor and relaxed coastal styling, this welcoming holiday rental sleeps up to four guests and is well suited to families or friends sharing. Exposed stone walls, slate flooring and timber beams sit comfortably alongside modern furnishings, while a large wood burning stove makes the living space cosy. The kitchen and dining area is designed for easy sociable living, with plenty of room to gather after days spent outdoors. To the rear, the cottage opens out towards the sea, with a small garden and a private bench on the ‘Bank Top’ with a spectacular panoramic sea view.
Cresswell is a peaceful coastal village positioned at the southern gateway to Druridge Bay, one of Northumberland’s most expansive and unspoilt beaches. The Drift Café lies just along the beach and is a popular stop for breakfast or lunch, while Cresswell Ices in the village is a much-loved spot for homemade ice cream. For supplies and dining options, Ellington is a short drive away and offers a village pub, a local shop, and a supermarket. Despite the tranquil setting, the area is easily accessible, with Morpeth and Alnmouth providing mainline rail connections for car-free days out.
This holiday cottage in Cresswell places you directly on the Northumberland Coast Path, with miles of walking in both directions and frequent opportunities for wildlife spotting, from seabirds to seals and occasional dolphins offshore. The wider area offers plenty to explore, including Amble's harbour and boat trips to Coquet Island, the castles of Warkworth, Alnwick and Bamburgh, and the bird reserves and lakes of Druridge Bay Country Park. After a day out, returning to Pele View to light the fire, share supper around the table or sit out by the sea as the light fades becomes part of the rhythm of staying at this unique cottage.

A charming rear garden leads to a private wooden bench on the ‘Bank Top’ (waterfront), positioned above the shoreline with open sea views. Parking is available on the road to the front of the cottage.

WiFi included. Electric panel heating throughout. One wood-burning stove with an initial supply of logs is provided. Bed linen and bath towels are included. Up to two well-behaved small or medium dogs welcome (additional charge applies). Dogs are not allowed on the furniture or upstairs in the cottage. No smoking or vaping.
