Lodge 1 encourages relaxation and inspires envy. A contemporary lodge on the edge of Loch Lomond in Ardlui, the A-framed holiday home is an oasis of comfort and charm. Enjoy spectacular views from the living areas, bedroom, balcony and garden, casting your gaze across the water to the mountains beyond. With space for six people to sleep in three bedrooms, Lodge 1 is a favourite with families but also suits groups of friends or multi-generational groups. The owners manage Lodge 1 like a boutique hotel by providing extras like a minibar in the bedrooms, a duty manager, and boat hire without sacrificing the peace of your private holiday home.
Ardlui is a friendly village on the northern shore of Loch Lomond. It's as popular with hikers and climbers as with anglers, golfers and sailors. A scenic walking and cycling path winds its way around the water. Keen walkers can follow the path from the train station to Ben Vorlich's peak and, in summer, take a short ferry crossing over the loch to access the West Highland Way. The area is so calm and serene that it's hard to believe it's only an hour's drive from Glasgow or just over an hour and a half by train.
Day trips from Lodge 1 can include sightseeing and fantastic seafood on the coast in Oban. Find your next adventure on Ben More or Ben Lomond, or bag one of the other 21 Munros in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Loch Lomond is renowned for the quality of its coarse fishing. Charter a private yacht through the owners of Lodge 1, or bring your boat and use the estate's mooring facilities. Hiring wakeboards, jet skis, kayaks and mountain bikes is also possible.
Lodge 1 is one of a handful of luxurious holiday homes on an exclusive estate. These can be booked together to accommodate bigger groups, such as weddings, birthdays, and corporate events.
