Wye Rapids House with its extensive lawns and terraces sits up above the river at the end of Symonds Yat East, a beautiful country lane following the river's course. Until recently a 4* hotel in the heart of the Wye Valley, the owners have redecorated and refurnished while adding new facilities to make this large holiday house a perfect and spacious setting for groups of families and friends. With stunning views this group holiday home sleeps 30 people in 13 bedrooms, twelve of which are ensuite. The large dining room has views out over the Wye rapids and comfortably seats everyone round 4 dining tables.
Apart from the gurgling of the river as it crosses the rapids, its perfectly peaceful and virtually traffic free, with lots to do nearby. The house is comfortable, private, with a games room containing pool, table football and air hockey. And a hot tub can be hired in for you. 2 well behaved pets are also welcome.
Just a brief stroll away there is an excellent pub and 2 restaurants, and best of all a romantic river ferry for stunning flat circular walks suitable for all ages. And when the visitors go home of an evening you have the village to yourselves. The River Wye is perfect for canoeing, kayaking and paddleboarding, and the area full of wildlife,
