The Dairy House is a beautiful detached period property with lovely views over Portsmouth Harbour. It is the perfect group self-catering property as it comfortably sleeps up to 16 people in seven stylish bedrooms, with lots of space to relax and have fun with your extended family and friends. The location is ideal in any season whether you're after a seaside holiday in summer or a winter get-together over Christmas. Everything you need is within walking distance, including welcoming pubs like the unusually-named Old House at Home.
Gosport is just over the water from Portsmouth. The passenger ferry is only a short drive from The Dairy House, taking four minutes to cross. Like its more famous neighbour, Gosport can also boast an impressive naval history. This is seen not only in museums like the Royal Navy Submarine Museum and Explosion! Museum of Naval Firepower, but also in the number of naval buildings like Fort Gilkicker, Fort Rowner, and Fort Gosport. Across the water, Portsmouth has an excellent variety of places to eat, drink and shop, as well as museums and other attractions. It's also good for nightlife, especially the area around Gunwharf Quays.
Gosport is great for beaches. Within a few miles is a choice of beaches like Lee-on-the-Solent and Hills Head, or shingle beaches like Eastney and Stokes Bay. Being surrounded by water means that sailing is very popular, and there is a public slipway a few hundred metres from the cottage. Visitors can also hire boats, kayaks and paddleboards to help them enjoy every aspect of this lovely location. Walking is another excellent way to experience the beautiful views. There is a two-mile Waterfront Trail that passes close to the house. Alternatively, make your way inland to discover miles of footpaths and cycling routes leading through the beautiful Hampshire countryside.
Whatever your reason for staying in Gosport, you will immediately feel at home in The Dairy House. The owners have carefully updated the period property to keep its original character and charm while providing a comfortable place where families and friends feel relaxed and settled as soon as they arrive.

The Dairy House is a large detached Victorian property with lots of natural lights and a layout that suits families and entertaining. Accommodation is over three levels.

Outside: French doors open from the house into the rear gardens which have a raised patio with garden furniture, and space with an artificial lawn that can be used all year round. The driveway can fit up to four cars.
Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are provided. Travel cots (no bedding), highchairs and stairgates are available on request. Short breaks and long stays are available all year round, depending on availability. Smoking and pets are not permitted.
In addition to the rental cost there is a £500 refundable damages deposit, which is fully refundable within 7 working days of your departure, obviously subject to no significant damages or excessive cleaning.
