Little Lane is a pretty holiday cottage in the picturesque Hampshire village of Alverstoke. There is space for up to four people to sleep in two bedrooms and, being only a 5-minute stroll from Stokes Bay beach means it is ideal for couples, families or friends to enjoy a relaxing holiday by the seaside at any time of the year. Hot tub hire is possible - please speak to the owner regarding this and associated costs.
Small on size but big on charm, Alverstoke will quickly become your new favourite holiday destination. Stokes Bay faces the Solent where the calm water is ideal for paddleboarding and kayaking, including for beginners, with equipment hire and tuition available locally. The panoramic views over the water to the Isle of Wight are always pleasing on the eye whether you enjoy them from the beach or the beachside cafe and bar. The beach here is predominantly shingle, as is Hills Head Beach which is only five miles north of the cottage. Other beaches to include in your seaside itinerary include those at Lee-on-the-Solent and Browndown Point.
The location of Little Lane is perfect for a self-catering holiday as there are four supermarkets, cafes, shops and three pubs within a two-mile radius of the cottage. The waterfront town of Gosport is on the doorstep with attractions that include Explosion! Museum of Naval Firepower and the Royal Navy Submarine Museum. It's only a short trip on the Gosport Ferry to Portsmouth and Gunwharf Quays, where there are shops, museums, cinemas, restaurants and nightlife.
Southampton and Winchester are about a 45-minute drive from the cottage, as is Paultons Park and Peppa Pig World. Attractions closer to the cottage include the Alver Valley Country Park, Little Woodham Living History Village, and the Hovercraft Museum. There is something for everyone in every season, making it easy to plan a fun and memorable holiday.

Little Lane is a pretty redbrick Victorian terraced cottage. It has a traditional layout with accommodation over two levels.

Outside: The private west-facing garden is fully enclosed and accessed via French doors from the living room. It has a paved terrace with garden furniture near the house, stepping stones leading to a second patio at the back of the gardens so that you can follow the sun, and mature shrubs for privacy. There is allocated parking for one car.
Additional Information: Bed linen, towels, utilities and WiFi are all included. A cot (no bedding) and a highchair are available - please request these when booking. Standard prices are for four people. A surcharge applies if the sofa bed is to be used. Little Lane is pet friendly and we warmly welcome up to 2 medium sized well behaved four legged friends at an additional cost of £25 each per dog, per week/part week. (However, to be fair to our neighbours no continuous barkers please). Smoking is not permitted.
In addition to the rental cost there is a £250 refundable damages deposit, which is fully refundable within 7 working days of your departure, obviously subject to no significant damages or excessive cleaning.
