Croydon Lodge looks out onto the lawns and woodlands of Croydon Hall Estate, and its location at the edge of Exmoor National Park creates an easy-going backdrop for time away with family and friends. Sleeping up to 12 guests in six bedrooms, the lodge has been thoughtfully arranged for larger groups, with spacious living areas that bring everyone together while still leaving plenty of room to enjoy a little quiet time. At its centre is a sociable open-plan kitchen, dining and living space, where meals naturally become the focus of the day, whether you're planning tomorrow's walk across Exmoor or lingering over dinner long after the plates have been cleared. French doors lead straight into the garden, while the private hot tub offers a welcome place to unwind after a day spent exploring the coast or countryside.
The lodge sits in an excellent position for discovering this varied corner of Somerset. Exmoor National Park is on the doorstep, offering miles of walking routes, open moorland and wooded valleys, while Minehead's seafront, Dunster's medieval streets and Blue Anchor Beach are all within a 30-40 minute drive. Guests staying at the lodge can also enjoy access to Croydon Hall's heated outdoor swimming pool and tennis court, subject to availability, providing another option for slower days spent closer to home. One group might head out to explore Dunster Castle while others follow the South West Coast Path or enjoy a leisurely afternoon by the pool, before everyone comes back together for an evening meal and a soak beneath the stars in the hot tub.
Croydon Hall's history stretches back more than 1,000 years, adding a real sense of character to the wider estate. Today it's a peaceful place to escape the pace of everyday life while remaining close to some of Somerset's best-loved attractions. Outside: Step outside onto the decked terrace, where outdoor dining furniture creates a lovely setting for relaxed breakfasts or evenings together after a day exploring Exmoor. The lawn provides plenty of room for children to play, while the private hot tub is perfectly positioned for soaking away tired legs beneath the open sky. Beyond the lodge, guests are welcome to enjoy the wider Croydon Hall Estate and, subject to availability, its heated outdoor swimming pool and tennis court. There is parking for multiple cars next to the house.
Additional Information: Bed linen, bath towels, WiFi, and utilities are included with the hire. Dogs are welcome by arrangement. Smoking is not permitted.
