Croydon Cottage enjoys a peaceful setting of its own within the historic Croydon Hall Estate on the edge of Exmoor National Park. The detached cottage is in a secluded location within the grounds while still benefiting from the facilities and character of one of Somerset's oldest country estates. Sleeping up to four guests, it's an easy choice for couples, small families or friends looking for somewhere comfortable to return to after days exploring the moors, coast and picturesque villages nearby. Step inside and the atmosphere immediately feels relaxed. Large sliding doors draw plenty of natural light into the sitting room, opening onto a private deck where breakfast often drifts into a second cup of coffee as little more than birdsong interrupts the quiet. Inside, modern country styling, comfortable furnishings and practical living spaces make settling in feel effortless, whether you're staying for a long weekend or a fortnight.
The cottage sits just a short drive from Minehead and the medieval village of Dunster, placing Exmoor's open moorland, wooded valleys and dramatic coastline within easy reach. Walkers can join the South West Coast Path or the Coleridge Way, spend a day exploring Dunster Castle or wander through the colourful streets of Minehead before stopping beside the harbour for lunch. Blue Anchor Beach is only around ten minutes away, while the West Somerset Railway offers one of England's most scenic heritage rail journeys through the Somerset countryside. Back on the estate, guests can make the most of Croydon Hall's leisure facilities, including the heated outdoor swimming pool and tennis court, subject to availability, adding another reason to spend a pleasant afternoon close to home.
Exmoor has a habit of rewarding those who slow down. One day might be spent uncovering concealed combes and wild ponies, the next sampling local cider, browsing independent galleries or taking a fishing trip from Minehead. Returning to the cottage is always a pleasure. Open the doors onto the deck, enjoy dinner outside on a warm evening or simply watch the light change through the surrounding trees. It has all the ingredients for an unhurried escape, with enough nearby to keep every day different without ever needing to travel far.

Outside:
Sliding doors open onto a private deck with outdoor dining furniture, which is a lovely spot for coffee, lunch in the sunshine or relaxed evenings surrounded by mature trees. A lawned area provides additional outdoor space, while guests can also enjoy the wider Croydon Hall Estate during their stay. There is parking next to the cottage.

Guests have access to Croydon Hall's extensive grounds, heated outdoor swimming pool and tennis court (subject to availability). WiFi, utilities, bed linen and bath towels are included. No smoking.
