We are delighted to be able to offer a second holiday cottage at Whatley. The Boathouse, our recently converted former workshop, has been thoughtfully remodelled to create comfort and relaxing holiday accommodation for your stay with us.
Set in a beautiful rural location and just a gentle stroll from the thriving town of Beaminster, the town offers a fabulous selection of independent shops, including a bakery, greengrocer, and butcher, plus gift shops, galleries, restaurants, and even a museum!
The Boathouse has been created “upside down” to take full advantage of the rural Dorset farmland and countryside views. The open-plan kitchen blends with the elegant dining area and then seamlessly flows into the generously proportioned lounge. From there, a door leads to the elevated balcony overlooking the historic millpond, where table and chairs, steamer loungers, and BBQ facilities are at your disposal.
Downstairs, the spacious but still cosy bedroom affords the comfort of a super-king bed and a smart TV.
Beside the bedroom sits a well-appointed, generously sized bathroom, which includes an oversized bath and a separate shower.
The entrance hall offers the convenience of a large, well-lit, and heated desk area should you need to work during your stay with us. Dogs (other pets by arrangement) are very welcome at the Boathouse.
Parking is located immediately outside the front entrance of the Boathouse, with easy access through a five-bar gate to your private, enclosed garden beside the millpond.
