The Old Neptune, with hot tub, is the perfect choice for your group holiday in Suffolk. The beautiful 15th Century property was built to impress, and guests will feel welcome as soon as they arrive. It is bursting with period character and charm, offering luxurious accommodation for up to 26 people in 13 beautiful bedrooms with plenty of room indoors and out for hosting your milestone birthday party, hen weekend, or family Christmas. The house sits in the heart of Ipswich Waterfront, once a bustling dock, now transformed into the entertainment quarter of Ipswich with its bars, restaurants and cafes.
Ipswich is the county town of Suffolk and a fantastic location for your group holiday or team building event. The historic city - said to be the oldest continuously inhabited city in Britain - has lots to see and do, as well as excellent transport links that make it easy for your guests to reach. Despite its central location, The Old Neptune is exceptionally private and feels as if it's an intimate boutique country retreat.
Local attractions and day trips out are varied and plentiful when you stay at The Old Neptune. Ipswich sits on the banks of the River Orwell, and it's possible to charter a yacht to enjoy a relaxing sightseeing cruise. Alternatively stay put and arrange activities at the house such as masterclasses in cocktail making or wine tasting, a cooking session, or beauty treatments for some pampering. Enjoy lazy long lunches soaking up the fantastic waterfront setting; choose one of the restaurants and bars for some night life or venture out and about to explore Suffolk and its many attractions like Aldeburgh or Felixstowe for a day by the sea, Constable Country for culture, or Jimmy's Farm for the little ones.

The Old Neptune is Grade II listed. It is full of gorgeous original features that give it a unique character, yet it is very much a holiday home for the 21st Century, where families and friends can relax and socialise, and definitely not a museum where you have to worry about messing up cushions when you relax out on the sofa.
There are lots of interesting angles, nooks and crannies in The Old Neptune. Accommodation is over three levels and includes:
Outside: The reason The Old Neptune feels so peaceful despite its central location is that the rooms face inwards to a beautiful Italianate courtyard complete with a fountain and fish pond. There is an outdoor hot tub and parking for four cars, with more parking just a short walk away.
Additional Information: All utilities, WiFi, bed linen and towels are provided. Short breaks are possible all year round. One small well-behaved dog is welcome with prior agreement from the owner - please speak with them before booking. Smoking is not permitted indoors.
