Barn Cottage No 1 is located in the heart of the Mid Suffolk Countryside, down a quiet country lane and a private driveway in the village of Stonham Aspal. Its quiet location is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enables guests to relax and unwind and is less than 2 hrs from London.
Barn Cottage No 1 is a converted barn which boasts beautiful wooden beams throughout. On the ground floor there is a very spacious well equipped kitchen/diner which leads through to a comfortable living room. The whole feel is one of space, light and airiness. Patio doors from the living room lead out to a South facing patio seating area which overlooks the tranquil shared cottage garden and orchard.
Upstairs there is a bedroom with a king size bed and an en-suite bathroom with bath. The bedroom also has beams throughout which is cosy and comfortable but there is a low beam in the bedroom.

Barn Cottages is the ideal location for exploring Suffolk, whether it be the beautiful heritage coast which has the lovely seaside towns of Southwold, Aldeburgh and Thorpness or the rural towns and villages. Bury St Edmunds is a lovely town with a Cathedral and its abbey gardens, it is renowned for it great food, whether it be dining in one of the many restaurants or cafes, or selecting produce from the local market which is held on a Wednesday and Saturday, or enjoy a local pint of Green King beer in one of the pubs. Rural Suffolk also has some beautiful historic villages, which are lovely for a stop off whilst out walking or cycling or for having time to unwind and relax whilst exploring the delights of Suffolk. Some other local attractions are Helmingham Hall Gardens, Framlingham Castle, Ixworth House & Mid Suffolk Light Railway museum.
Barn Cottage No 1 is available for short breaks during low season and weekly breaks during peak season, but please always contact us as we might be able to accommodate you. Additional information: Price includes bed linen, towels, heating, electricity and wi-fi. One well behaved dog is welcome for a charge of £20 - please request a dog to stay when booking. Off road parking is available for one car in front of the cottage.
