Location (The Peak District)

Accommodation Comprises:

Townhead Farm is a chocolate-box farmhouse dating from the 17th Century with modern comforts and period charm.

Downstairs:

  • Socialise with family and friends in the spacious open-plan living room, where the seating area has a Smart TV and a wood-burning stove with sofas and soft furnishings for that authentic home-away-from-home feeling. For times when you want to put your feet up peacefully with a book, the Snug is a cosy sanctuary with a smaller woodburner and comfortable seating.
  • As experienced hosts, the owners understand what guests look for in the kitchen of a family-friendly holiday cottage. Clean white cupboards are full of crockery, glassware, and utensils, and the room benefits from gorgeous views and plenty of natural light. There's a seating area by the window where you can drink in the views with your morning cuppa or a pre-dinner glass of wine.
  • Next to the kitchen, but still open plan, a long antique dining table seats everyone with lots of space for serving dishes. Glass doors open onto the patio, enhancing the panorama of the hills beyond the garden.
  • A convenient cloakroom has a WC and a handbasin.

Upstairs:

  • Every bedroom has gorgeous views that will make it a pleasure to wake up and pull back the curtains on a new day. The master bedroom features a king-sized bed and a well-stocked bookshelf. Luxuriate in the en-suite where there is a deep bath, separate shower, WC and handbasin.
  • A second bedroom has a double bed and features the same high-quality bedding and linen as the other rooms.
  • Two single rooms allow you to separate children or stay with friends without feeling crowded.
  • A modern shower room also has a WC and a handbasin.

Outside: The gardens of the farmhouse are a labour of love, and it shows in the thriving plants and scenic corners. Cleverly landscaped to make the most of the sloping plot, there is a patio next to the house with more seating on the lower terrace. The drive has parking for three cars. In addition to your private garden, you can also use the grounds shared by the owner's other two holiday cottages - ideal if you're part of a bigger group.

Additional Information: All utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are included. The property and garden are not suitable for children under the age of 8. Townhead Farmhouse and gardens are strictly non-smoking/vaping.
