We have a Scandinavian, wood-fired (biomass) hot tub with space for 6 adults. It is NOT included but available for an extra charge. It's 'one use only' with no chemicals, so for hygiene reasons it needs to be emptied, cleaned, refilled and heated before its next use. Please see our Terms and Conditions.
Explore our lush, peaceful dales and romantic rugged highlands on foot, horse back, bike or car. Perfect for cyclists, The Manifold Trail can be accessed just below the farm (easily accessible for bikes as well as wheelchairs and buggies) provides over nine miles of fantastic cycling (some adult cycles are available for guests to use). Fishing, golf, water sports, pony trekking and many other activities are available in the local area. For those seeking something a little less adventurous, enjoy a leisurely stroll alongside the Manifold River into Dovedale or visit the picturesque villages with traditional inns for a meal and lovely ancient churches. Shops, pubs and some excellent places to enjoy a meal out are near to Swainsley Farm.
Family attractions include Alton Towers, Chatsworth and Matlock Bath. There are many country houses, National Trust properties and gardens a short drive away.

The Coach House is a superb, detached cottage in a magnificent location looking south over the Manifold River. It has spectacular views from every window! It is a lovely, spacious cottage popular both with couples as well as families.
The hallway takes you into an impressive lounge with wood burner and vaulted ceiling. Stairs (open-tread) take you up to the romantic, galleried beamed double bedroom which overlooks the lounge.
An en-suite king-size master bedroom offers a shower room with WC and wash basin. Guests also have a fantastic family bathroom with a shower over the bath, WC and wash basin. Both bathrooms have underfloor heating making it warm under foot and heated towel rails. The third bedroom is smaller and has two single beds (full size) arranged as a bunk and suitable for both adults and children (there is also a fold-up single bed if required for an additional guest).
A luxurious kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped with stylish granite worktops, large American fridge/freezer, washing machine/dryer, dishwasher, hob, oven, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine and dining table with seating for eight in comfort.
The cottage is suitable for those with limited mobility having all ground floor rooms except for the gallery bedroom (please speak to the owner for details).
Outside, the cottage has its own small paddock with garden furniture, picnic table and BBQ.
The hot tub is wood fired (biomass) and is amazingly eco-friendly compared to regular tubs. There is space for up to 6 adults. It’s a ‘one use only hot tub’ with no chemicals – so for hygiene reasons, it needs to be emptied, cleaned, refilled and heated before the it’s next use. This takes time, so if you would like to use it please let us know at least 24 hours in advance.
There will be a charge of £80 for each separate day booking. The price includes: extra bath towels, robes and plastic glasses.
