Highview Grange at Standlow Farm is a spacious 7-bedroom holiday house near Ashbourne, Carsington Water and the Derbyshire Dales. Sleeping up to 14 guests, it is ideal for family gatherings, weekends with friends, walking breaks, relaxed celebrations and countryside holidays.
Inside, the house has plenty of space for groups to come together comfortably. The large kitchen and dining area is well set up for self-catering, with room to cook, eat and spend time together. There is also a comfortable lounge and a cosy cinema room, giving guests space to relax after a day out exploring.
The accommodation includes 7 bedrooms, three of which have ensuite bathrooms. The bedroom layout works well for mixed family and friend groups, with flexible sleeping arrangements available by prior arrangement.
Outside, Highview Grange has its own private garden with patio, barbecue area and hot tub. Guests also have access to shared facilities at Standlow Farm, including a tennis court, games room, play area, fire pit and open outdoor space.
The location is a real highlight. Standlow Farm sits close to Carsington Water and within easy reach of the Peak District National Park, with beautiful countryside views and plenty of walking and cycling routes nearby. The village of Kniveton is less than a mile away and has a welcoming local pub, The Red Lion.
There is plenty to explore during your stay, from Carsington Water, Ashbourne and the Limestone Way to Chatsworth House, Alton Towers, Bakewell, Matlock and Buxton. Whether you want active days out, relaxed pub lunches, countryside walks or time together at the house, Highview Grange makes a comfortable and practical base for a memorable group stay in Derbyshire.
Standlow Farm also has a collection of additional holiday properties, which can be booked separately or together by arrangement for larger group stays.

Accommodation at Highview Grange is arranged over two floors.
Downstairs
Guests enter into a spacious hallway, which leads through to the main living areas.
The large L-shaped kitchen and dining room wraps around the rear of the house and provides a generous space for cooking, eating and spending time together. The dining table comfortably seats the whole group, while the well-equipped kitchen has plenty of room for preparing meals and storing food during your stay. Part of the space has a conservatory-style feel, with glass doors opening directly onto the terrace and garden.
There is also a comfortable sitting room with sofas and a log burner, ideal for quieter evenings or relaxing after a day out.
A separate cinema room offers a flexible additional space for film nights, children’s downtime, presentations or retreat-style stays.
Bedroom 1 is located on the ground floor and is furnished with a king-sized bed.
There is also a cloakroom with WC near the staircase.
Upstairs
Bedroom 2 has a king-sized bed, lovely views and an ensuite bathroom.
Bedrooms 3 and 4 are twin rooms, each with two full-sized single beds. Bedroom 3 also has an ensuite shower room.
Bedroom 5 is an ensuite bedroom with a king-sized bed.
Bedrooms 6 and 7 are further king-sized bedrooms and share a family bathroom with shower over bath, WC and hand basin.
The bedroom layout can be adapted by prior arrangement, with several beds able to be configured as kings or twins to suit your group.
Outside
Highview Grange has a large private garden with lawn, patio, barbecue area and outdoor seating. The hot tub is positioned next to the patio and can be added to your booking for an additional charge.
Guests also have access to shared facilities at Standlow Farm, including a tennis court, games room, adventure play area, fire pit and open space for ball games. There is ample parking at the property.
