Beech Barn is the perfect place where families can unwind and relax. Forget about unreasonable deadlines, cranky customers and stressful school runs and focus on doing the things you enjoy with people you love spending time with. This gorgeous Norfolk barn conversion is a stylish blend of traditional building techniques and modern conveniences, comfortably sleeping up to six people in three lovely bedrooms, all within half a mile of Neatishead village shop and the friendly White Horse Inn.
You can stay in Norfolk at any time of the year and always have a fantastic holiday. The landscape is beautiful and easy to explore on foot, by bicycle or via the miles of gentle waterways that make up the Norfolk Broads. Alderfen Broad is just over a mile from the cottage in Neatishead (pronounced locally as "Neatsed"), or you can sail, kayak or canoe along Limekiln Dyke and the River Ant. The Bure Marshes National Nature Reserve and the How Hill National Nature Reserve are also close for a walk or a bike ride.
Wroxham, four miles away, is a popular choice for a lazy lunch and a bit of sightseeing, or sit by the river in Horning and watch the boats drift by. Spice up your stay with a day trip to Norwich, one of Europe's best-preserved medieval cities with a magnificent cathedral, museums, and excellent choice of places to eat and shop. Norwich is only 11 miles from Neathishead or about 25-minutes by car. Alternatively, drive 25-minutes in the other direction to spend a lazy day on a beautiful Norfolk beach like Horsey, which is as memorable for a windy walk in winter to see the seals as it is for a summer's day at the seaside.
Local attractions include beWILDerwood, the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum, Hickling Broad, Wroxham Minature Worlds, and St Benet's Abbey. However you like to spend your downtime, you'll find it here.
The owner's other property, Willow Barn, is close to Beech Barn, offering the potential to sleep up to 16+2 people in eight comfortable bedrooms. The two can be booked together to sleep extended families and groups of friends. Please see the owner's website for details.
