Kings Lodge is a gorgeous modern holiday home with plenty of space for four adults, a child, and two dogs. It's close to Neatishead and great for families or friends as all three bedrooms are ensuite. Apart from the single bedroom, all accommodation is on the ground floor and is ideal for anyone with mobility issues or who prefers to avoid stairs. The exterior of the self-catering Norfolk cottage is more than a match for the beautiful interiors. It is set within a large enclosed meadow, perfect for running and playing, and there is a patio with seating, and a hot tub.
Neatishead is beside Alderfen Broad, just over a mile from the cottage, where there is a village shop and a pub serving food. It's a lovely walk from the house, especially if you continue following the Barton Boardwalk for 1.5-miles through a centuries-old forest with the opportunity to spot Marsh tits, otters, buzzards, and tufted ducks, among other species of birds and wildlife. At the end, the accessible path gives fantastic views over the water. Horning is one and a half miles from Kings Lodge and easy to cycle to. It's a gorgeous spot on a sunny day, especially if you choose a pub beside the river for your lunch. More amenities and places to eat are four miles away in Wroxham.
They've been a part of the landscape for so long that many visitors are surprised to learn the Broads are not a natural feature but a result of the peat industry. By the early 1300s, the peat pits had filled with so much water that they needed to be abandoned, creating today's wetland haven. It's worth arranging a day boat hire to explore the waterways as they have been enjoyed for centuries at a leisurely pace. Climb aboard in Wayford and follow the Broads to places like Wroxham, the How Hill Nature Reserve, Dilham, and Barton Broad.
Kings Lodge is calming and comfortable, with tranquil views. It's a peaceful retreat where you can do nothing more than watch the birds in the sunshine, yet conveniently close to bustling towns, waterfront villages and favourite sights and attractions.

Upstairs:
Outside: A securely fenced garden has a patio with seating and an outdoor hot tub. There is ample parking for the property on the private driveway. The owner can arrange day boat hire at their Boat yard at Wayford.
Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are included with the hire of Kings Lodge. A highchair and travel cot are available on request. Two dogs are welcome by arrangement. It's a non-smoking property.
