Strathspey holiday cottage on the shoreline of Holy Loch is an ideal retreat for couples. Situated in the pretty Scottish village of Strone, near Dunoon and located within the Argyll Forest Park, the cottage offers holidaymakers breath-taking views and easy access to spectacular sea lochs and glens.
Explore forest trails, bluebell woods or the waterfalls of the magnificent nearby Pucks Glen. Enjoy a coffee and cake in the Benmore Botanic Gardens. Within the forest park waymarked paths guide you to easy or strenuous walking, cycling routes or viewpoints for watching wildlife.
If you want to relax then discover lazy days in the sun lounge just watching the ferries and sailing boats go by. You might be lucky and catch a glimpse of the resident red squirrels.
Locally facilities include a village Post Office and general store, village pub, and regular bus service. A golf course, bistro, café-gallery, restaurants and tourist amenities are within easy reach.
Drive or hop in the bus to nearby Dunoon to check out its attractive promenade, historic castle Mound, famous Victorian Pier and lively Burgh Hall art gallery and café. The town boasts a good range of restaurants, cafes, shops, sports and swimming facilities, supermarkets and cinema.
No matter how long or short you holiday is there is plenty to do around Argyll and Bute.
