The Healings is located 600 meters from the picture perfect village of Waddington (winner of best kept village award many times). There are three excellent country pubs in the village, one of which The Higher Buck is in the Top 50 gastropubs in the UK! There are country walks in both directions from the property. The town of Clitheroe is just one mile away (or a mere 20 minute walk away), with it's distinctive Norman castle surrounded by a multitude of independent shops, cafes and a thriving food scene. Clitheroe market itself is on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday with purveyors of local cheeses and meats. Holmes Mill a recent development in Clitheroe houses Bowland brewery Beer Hall, with the longest hand pull bar in Britain! Also an Everyman cinema, food hall and bowling alley. There are many idyllic villages within 5 miles such as Downham, Slaidburn and Newton. Based in the heart of the Ribble Valley you will be spoilt for choice!
