Relax and soak up the peaceful surrounds of the glorious undulating Kentish countryside in a tranquil position on a family run farm. Well presented, this welcoming retreat provides guests with a high degree of comfort and sleeps up to four guests.
The Granary at Uplees Farm is a superb self-catering choice for those who enjoy walking with lovely walks in and around the Faversham area. It is also a great location for exploring the surrounding nearby towns and cities including the seaside towns of Whitstable, Margate, Ramsgate and Sandwich, along with Canterbury with its magnificent cathedral.
One of the joys of staying on a working farm is that you experience a taste of country life and see animals such as sheep and cattle as well as feathered friends (chickens and ducks) wandering around and grazing in the fields. For those wanting a meal out, there are two pubs in the nearby village of Oare (a mile from the farm).
The historic market town of Faversham, a Fairtrade Town, is only two miles away. Faversham has an Antique and Vintage market once a month, Art, Craft, Food market and a Best of Faversham market fortnightly throughout the year. There are also some lovely independent shops for all kinds of shopping. It offers a good choice of eating establishments, attractions and places of interest to visit including Brogdale Farm with its fruit collection, Macknade's for those with a passion for food, Shepherd Neame Brewery (the oldest brewery in the country - enjoy a tour and taste!) and also country houses and gardens nearby to visit.
Being under sixty miles from London and within easy reach of many of Kent's attractions including its coastline, this is not only a tranquil retreat where you can escape away from the hustle and bustle of every day life but also a good base for exploring the 'Garden of Kent'.
