Little Owls is a delightful holiday cottage packed full charm and character, sleeping up to four guests in comfort. Beautifully presented throughout, the cottage has a vaulted ceiling which adds to the lovely sense of space. Enjoying a tranquil spot in Hampshire, nestling within the glorious Test Valley, Little Owls offers easy access to the New Forest, as well as the beaches and coastal walks of the South Coast. Guests can enjoy spectacular country views, welcoming accommodation and a fantastic outdoor pool (heated for shared use during the warmer months) - a delightful self-catering cottage, which is ideal at any time of the year, for couples or a family holiday.
The cottage is equipped to a high standard of comfort and style and provides a relaxing contemporary environment. Beautiful rolling hills and a forest of Oak provide a haven for wildlife including deer, many birds and rare butterflies that can all be seen - a real wonderland for children (and adults) to explore!
Situated off a peaceful country lane, the cottage is an easy walk to the village shop for stocking up on provisions. There are also numerous award-winning eateries locally for those seeking fine dining. Ideal for walkers, there are a network of footpaths and byways just waiting to be explored directly from the front door - the Monarch and Clarendon Way are both within easy reach. For those who enjoy cycling, the National cycle route (No 24) passes through the village and for the fishermen amongst you, the renowned rivers Test and Dun nearby provide excellent opportunities. There are also several golf courses close by, along with horse riding and for those who enjoy a fine culinary experience, The Greyhound is situated only eight miles away in Stockbridge (known as 'Hampshire's Little London'), which offers several additional gourmet eateries and independent shops.
Nestling amongst farmland and rolling hills on the Hampshire/Wiltshire border, the cottage is within easy driving distance of Salisbury, Southampton, Winchester, the market town of Romsey and the New Forest National Park with its many attractions. There are ancient market towns and quintessentially English pretty villages with thatched cottages to explore, along with many attractions with something to offer all ages including Peppa Pig World; Paulton's Park and Marwell Zoo, which are sure to please the younger ones; the historic stately home of Wilton House; the City of Portsmouth with its strong maritime roots and historic dockyard and the Isle of Wight which is great for a day trip and ferry ride. Bournemouth (forty minutes by car), Bath and London by train, are also easily accessible, and for those who enjoy a day at the races, Thruxton is just twenty minutes away and Goodwood circuit is less than an hour.
With so many interesting places to visit and things to do, you will want to return time and time again!
