Deluxe Shepherd's Hut is an idyllic romantic retreat set back from the village of Alderholt, just outside of the New Forest National Park and close to the Hampshire/Dorset border. The contemporary hut was built by skilled artisans using time-honoured techniques to create comfortable self-catering accommodation that feels cosy yet which offers plenty of space for couples to settle back and relax in the beautiful surroundings. The hut is set apart from the other holiday cottages on Foxhill Farm and is within walking distance of the village shop and friendly local pub, The Churchill Arms.
Ringwood Forest is within walking and cycling distance, while the New Forest National Park is only a short drive away, giving visitors even more opportunity to explore this beautiful landscape with its mix of forest, countryside and moorland. Fordingbridge is just over two miles from Foxhill Farm. With a history that dates back further than the Domesday Book, the New Forest town sits peacefully on the bank of the River Avon and boasts a good variety of independent shops, cafes and pubs as well as a picturesque medieval arched bridge.
Moors Valley Country Park is a great choice for a day out as it has footpaths and cycling trails, a small steam railway, Go Ape treetop adventures, picnic spots and lovely views. The New Forest Water Park is another top attraction, allowing visitors to play on fun inflatables as well as go wake-boarding, paddle-boarding or kayaking. Bournemouth's shops and beaches are within easy reach, as is the stunning Jurassic Coast and the cathedral city of Salisbury.
Being only two hours from London means that you can step away from your desk with the knowledge it won't be long before you can relax on your quiet patio with your feet up in front of the chiminea as you enjoy a glass of wine, or in front of an open fire at a country pub with a tasty home-cooked meal before you. The New Forest National Park and surrounding area is perfect for a short break or a longer holiday, with Deluxe Shepherd's Hut giving you a quiet, comfortable base from which to explore.

The owners created Deluxe Shepherd's Hut to have the charm and appeal of a traditional hut while providing extra space and touches of luxury that contemporary guests crave in their holiday escape.
Outside: A deck with a chiminea (first basket of logs provided) is the perfect spot for stargazing. There is off-street parking, and the owners also offer secure storage for bikes and a boat.
Additional information: The Deluxe Shepherd's Hut is dog-friendly with dogs being welcome by arrangement and for a small surcharge. Utilities, sheets and towels are all included. Two night short breaks are available all year round, depending on availability. Smoking is not permitted.
