Yr Hen Beudy Just launched is this dog friendly converted barn ‘Yr hen Beudy’, situated less than 1 mile outside the village of Llansteffan.
The cottage has been lovingly converted and designed by ourselves over the last 2 years, to provide a comfortable stay and is the ideal place to relax.
Situated on Brodle Farm, in close proximity to the cottage, but separated, we have Llansteffan’s answer to Folly farm, we have goats, rescue chickens, pigs and ducks (you are welcome to interact with them if you wish)
It is in an excellent location in the beautiful Carmarthenshire countryside, with great walks, (we are located on the Pilgrim path to st David’s) & close to all local attractions and local pubs serving great food.
Carmarthen is 7 miles & Tenby is 25 miles away.
Entrance to cottage is hidden down a private lane , electric gates greet you leading to parking for 2 cars.
The cottage has 2 bedrooms ( 1 king size bed with Egyptian cotton bedding & 2 single beds) 2 bathrooms with the most amazing power showers (one downstairs , ideal after a muddy walk) towels supplied. Fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, full size oven, microwave, fridge with ice box. Smart tv to lounge.
Secure dog waking paddock & a decking area with an outdoor bio ethanol fire dining area. This is our favourite spot, to watch the red kites, wild geese, and this year a family of buzzards have moved in !! The WiFi is amazing and is throughout the cottage.
Storage shed available for extra storage of bikes etc at no extra charge.

Yr Hen Beudy has been updated and modernised by the current owners to offer comfortable accommodation over two levels.
Downstairs:
The open plan downstairs feels welcoming and spacious, with natural light coming in through windows at the front and rear. The living area has a luxurious sofa to put your feet up and relax while watching the wall mounted TV. A dividing wall partition gives a cosy feel to the dining area, with a large table to ensure plenty of space to enjoy meals prepared in the modern kitchen, which is fitted with efficient appliances and stocked with utensils, crockery and cutlery to cater and feed up to four hungry people.
Herringbone tile panels in the shower and traditional high level WC and hand basin give period character to a stylish bathroom.
Large hallway with plenty of space to hang your coats and jackets with the main entrance being a stable door - this helps keep your dogs in (or out!) whilst allowing fresh air to flow through.
Upstairs:
Off the groound floor hallway, a staircase leads to a small landing off which lead two bedrooms, bathroom and a cwtch area.
Master bedroom with a gorgeous King bed, bedside tables and reading lights, decorated to give you a luxurious feel and a comfortable sleep.The Twin bedroom has two full-sized (3ft-wide) single beds. The bathroom is modern and bright offering a shower, fitted WC and handbasin. There is off the landing a little 'Cwtch' area offering bean bags - a perfect place for children to chill, read or to utilise social media!
Outside:
Settle back and relax on the 2 spacious deck areas which sit alongside the cottage, there is also a large paddock for exersicing your dogs. There is plenty of off-street parking (please inform the owner if more than 1 vehicle).
Additional Information: All utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath sheets are provided. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome with prior agreement from the owners. Bookings run for seven days from either Friday or Saturday. Smoking is not permitted.
Yr Hen Beudy is located on a non-working small holding, we do have free range animals on-site, (separated from cottage) chickens, ducks, geese, goats, pigs and of course our very own dogs. Guests can freely interact with the animals if they wish and have a constant supply of free range eggs.
