The Warren has everything families need for a fun self-catering holiday in Wiltshire, including a quiet location with lots of space and a good choice of activities within easy reach. The three-bedroom holiday cottage is one of two fantastic properties on the family-run Conygre Farm in Easton Royal. Onsite amenities include an indoor heated swimming pool. The Warren sleeps seven people with spacious rooms, far-reaching views and a layout that suits families. It's at the end of a quiet country lane with no passing traffic and fantastic walks from the door, including a footpath that leads to the Kennet & Avon Canal and the 16th-Century Royal Oak pub around a mile away.
Easton Royal is in the Vale of Pewsey, an area renowned for its scenic rural landscape. It's also part of the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with excellent access to walks and cycling routes to suit every ability. The views from the farm are outstanding, and sitting outdoors and enjoying the tranquillity of the location will become one of your favourite holiday memories. Exploring footpaths and cycleways from the farm will take you to places like Birch Copse, Bedwyn Brail, Milton Lilbourne, Chute Forest, and the Jones Mill Nature Reserve. It's such a treat to have this gorgeous scenery on your doorstep.
Grocery shopping for your self-catering holiday is as easy as driving 10 minutes to Marlborough. There is a twice-weekly market and a wide variety of shops and eateries that include Rick Stein's restaurant. Twenty five minutes away, Andover is a great alternative and a good choice for a browse and some lunch. Within an hour's drive, you can reach Oxford's shops, museums, historic churches and university buildings, or the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bath, with its splendid Georgian buildings and incredible Roman baths. Fans of the Arthurian legends should visit The Great Hall in Winchester to see the 13th Century replica of Arthur's round table on the wall. Despite being over seven centuries old, the oak table looks positively modern compared to prehistoric sites Stonehenge, Avebury and Silbury Hill, all within easy reach of The Warren.
The Warren can be booked with the other holiday cottage at Conygre Farm, The Burrow, for holidays with extended family or groups of up to 13 friends. Bookings are available from Easter to October half term each year.
