About The Coach House at Oaks Barn Farm

The Coach House at Oaks Barn Farm with optional hot spa provides the perfect mix of luxurious accommodation with eco-friendly principles ensuring guests have everything they need for a relaxing holiday. Situated in a gorgeous rural location, yet only two miles from the popular Bulls Head Inn in Inkberrow, this fabulous holiday home is an excellent base for exploring the Cotswolds and surrounding areas. With space for six people in three bedrooms it has a flexible layout that makes it perfect for couples, families or friends.

The ancient town of Stratford-Upon-Avon is one of those “must see” places. Treat yourself to a production at the Royal Shakespeare Company or get up early to see the house in Henley Street where Shakespeare was born, or New Place where he lived for many years. You can then avoid the crowds with a short drive to Mary Arden’s farm, the birthplace of Shakespeare’s mother, or enjoy a day at the stunning National Trust's Charlecote Park. Other activities include visiting the Stratford Butterfly Farm, boating on the river, or simply browsing the independent shops and tea rooms.

Of course, there is more to Warwickshire than Stratford-Upon-Avon. Once you have exhausted the myriad of shops, Shakespeare attractions (including Guild Hall, where he went to school) and places to eat and drink, you can head to the rolling Cotswold countryside. Explore the numerous footpaths and cycling trails nearby or take a small-group day tour with Go Cotswolds, whose expert guides will show you the highlights of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Alcester is a lively Roman town with a regular market on the last Sunday of the month. Warwick Castle is a fantastic day out for everyone and Worcester is also within easy reach, as are the sleepy villages and historic towns of the Cotswolds. There are at least a dozen golf courses within a 15-mile radius of Oaks Barn Farm, and the NEC and National Indoor Arena are easily reachable by car.

Stratford-Upon-Avon is not only beautiful, but it is also easy to reach from many parts of the country. At Oaks Barn Farm you and your family can stay in comfort as you discover the many fantastic attractions in and around the area.

Location (Warwickshire)

The Coach House is one of two cottages and an exceptionally spacious shepherd's hut that can be booked separately or together to give you the ability to enjoy an unforgettable holiday with your extended family and friends. The property is on a small working farm and the owners are nearby if you need any information about the local area. There is always something going on at the farm (especially during lambing) and guests are more than welcome to get involved should they wish.

Oaks Barn Farm's green credentials are well established, and the owners continue to look for ways to be carbon neutral, whilst offering a high standard of comfort. The cottage is heated using Biomass fuel from renewable resources. Water efficient showers and cisterns reduce wastage, much of the energy comes from solar panels, and food waste is composted and used on the owner's vegetable garden.

Accommodation Comprises:

Downstairs:

  • The living room is a lovely place to relax, with comfortable sofas and a television with Freeview channels. A large window and glass internal doors ensure there is lots of natural light.
  • The fitted kitchen is perfectly equipped for easy self-catering and includes a microwave, electric oven and stove as well as a good complement of utensils and cooking equipment. Windows overlook the garden and there is a half glass door leading outside providing a nice view over the fields.
  • A six-seater dining table is next to the kitchen. It benefits from a high vaulted ceiling with oak beams, and French doors that open to the garden outside and allow in lots of light.
  • There are two double bedrooms on the ground floor. Each is comfortably furnished with an oak double bed and furniture, good storage and a television.
  • A family shower room has a walk-in shower, WC and handbasin.

Upstairs:

  • The master bedroom is accessed via a stylish spiral staircase. It has a double bed and television and benefits from an ensuite with bath, WC and handbasin.

Outside: A gravelled patio area outside features both an outdoor dining and living area, allowing guests to make the most of long summer evenings and the fantastic countryside views towards the Malvern Hills. A barbecue is ideal for summer meals, while the Kandai Fire Bowl keeps guests warm so they can enjoy stargazing in skies with little light pollution. There is a shared children's play area with swings and a slide. Oaks Barn Farm is a small working farm and guests are welcome to meet the animals and and even feed the lambs depending on the time of year. Secure off-road parking.

Additional information: The owners are able to do a service wash for a nominal charge should you need items laundered whilst away. All utilities, linen and towels are included. The Coach House is a non-smoking property. Dogs are accepted but as this is a small working farm, there are strict rules which must be agreed to before booking (an additional charge of £50 applies). Air-rifle shooting can be arranged with the owners. Should you want use of the hot tub during your stay, an additional charge of £150 is applied to cover the cost of it being emptied, cleaned and refilled (this will cover general usage electricity which should suffice providing the cover is replaced after each use and jets turned off). Guests can charge electric cars on-site via a centrally accessible point charged by solar panels, making the most of green energy.
