Shepherds View at Oaks Barn Farm with optional hot spa combines robust eco-friendly principles with stylish accommodation, in a unique and surprisingly spacious package. Sitting in a beautiful rural location just ten minutes from historic Stratford-Upon-Avon, and two miles from the popular Bulls Head Inn at Inkberrow, this welcoming holiday home is an excellent base for exploring Central England. The ancient town of Stratford-Upon-Avon is one of those “must see” places. Treat yourself to a production at the Royal Shakespeare Company or get up early to see the house in Henley Street where Shakespeare was born, or New Place where he lived for many years. You can then avoid the crowds with a short drive to Mary Arden’s farm, the birthplace of Shakespeare’s mother, or enjoy a day at the stunning National Trust's Charlecote Park. Other activities include visiting the Stratford Butterfly Farm, boating on the river, or simply browsing the independent shops and tea rooms.
Of course, there is more to Warwickshire than Stratford-Upon-Avon. Once you have exhausted the myriad of shops, Shakespeare attractions (including Guild Hall, where he went to school) and places to eat and drink, you can head to the rolling Cotswold countryside. Explore the numerous footpaths and cycling trails nearby or take a small-group day tour with Go Cotswolds, whose expert guides will show you the highlights of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Alcester is a lively Roman town with a regular market on the last Sunday of the month. Warwick Castle is a fantastic day out for everyone and Worcester is also within easy reach, as are the sleepy villages and historic towns of the Cotswolds. There are at least a dozen golf courses within a 15-mile radius of Oaks Barn Farm, and the NEC and National Indoor Arena are easily reachable by car.
Stratford-Upon-Avon is not only beautiful, but it is also easy to reach from many parts of the country. At Oaks Barn Farm you and your family can stay in comfort as you discover the many fantastic attractions in and around the area.
