Riverside is situated in the in the small hamlet of Westport, half way between Langport and Ilminster and within easy driving distance from Taunton and Yeovil. Sleeping six guests in three bedrooms, it is a perfect self-catering getaway for families, couples or friends wanting to explore the beautiful counties of Devon, Dorset and Somerset.
There is so much to see and do just a stone's throw away from Riverside. The Yeovilton's Fleet Air Arm Museum, which is home to the first Concorde built in Britain, is bound to be a big hit for big and little kids alike, whilst the local National Trust properties and gardens will satisfy any historians and green fingered enthusiasts. Barrington Court is less than two miles away, the extensive gardens at Forde Abbey is fourteen miles away and the Elizabethan Montacute House just twelve miles away.
If you are looking for a day of shops and culture, head to the Roman city of Bath, or bargain hunters should visit the Clarks Village Shopping Outlet in the village of Street. A trip to Sedgemoor Lowlands and Wetlands is perfect for bird watchers and wildlife lovers whilst the River Parrett at Langport is an ideal spot for keen fisherman, paddle boarders or for those who simply want to appreciate the picturesque Parrett landscape.
If you fancy a day by the sea, the Jurassic coast is under an hour away. Hunt for fossils at Charmouth, enjoy bucket and spade days on the beach or visit the pretty town of Lyme Regis with it's harbour and iconic Cobb, or the small fishing village of West Bay.
For those who would rather not stray too far, there are plenty of walks and bike rides from the front door. Meander along footpaths that take you through the pretty countryside via village pubs, or along the gentle canal tow paths. You can hire a bike in nearby Langport.

Outside: The graveled area provides plenty of space for off-road parking, whilst kids can let off steam on the lawns and grassy areas (which backs onto open fields). Enjoy a BBQ during the warmer weather, or simply enjoy alfresco dining with outdoor garden furniture or make use of the covered patio area.
Additional information: The wooden floors and beams provide a homely cottage feel. Night storage heating in all the rooms. Well-behaved dogs are more than welcome by arrangement. Please speak to the owner at the time of booking.
