About Tyn Llwyn

Tyn Llwyn sleeps up to eight guests in four bedrooms so is perfect not only for families and extended families but also for groups of friends who want to discover and explore the beauty of the Snowdonia National Park. Set on a private seven-acre smallholding in Eisingrug near Harlech, the farmhouse is close to mountains and within easy reach of spectacular North Welsh beaches, historic towns and castles.

There is no need to compromise on activities when you stay at Tyn Llywn. Those who enjoy hiking and mountain biking will be thrilled with the multitude of footpaths and trails leading from the property, offering mountain climbs and breathtaking views as well as more relaxed routes leading through woodlands and countryside. Alternatively, make your way to the coast - just a few miles from the cottage - and spend a day sunning yourself on the beach or walking the coastal footpath. Abersoch is a particular favourite with surfers and is where you can take a boat trip to see the seals and birds who live around the St. Tudwal's islands.

The ancient town of Harlech, now part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is just a few miles away and easily reached by car or bicycle. It is a fantastic place to visit with its historic castle and wealth of places to eat, drink and shop. Older guests may recognise nearby Portmeirion from the 1960s TV series, The Prisoner. The quirky, colourful Italianate village is especially charming on a sunny day. Porthmadog is a friendly town close by with a choice of shops and cafes, including the famous Welsh ice-cream shop, Cadwaladers. There is also a station from where you can climb aboard the heritage Ffestiniog Railway for a relaxing tour through 40-miles of the Snowdonia National Park to Blaenau Ffestiniog.

Other nearby attractions include the Royal St David's Golf Club, Zip World and Bounce Below, and the Llechwedd slate caverns. There is an activity for everyone in any season, making Tyn Llywn an excellent year-round holiday home for all ages.
