Plas Blaenddol is the perfect holiday rental for large groups of friends, families and outdoor enthusiasts, sleeping up to nineteen guests in comfort (plus an extra three on fold-away beds which are charged at an additional £90 per bed). Perfectly placed in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park surrounded by its magnificent peaks, the estate is just a five minute walk from the Welsh village of Llan Ffestiniog with a good pub for supper, village store for provisions and access to superb walking (including the lovely walk to Cynfal Falls). With an abundance of attractions close by (Zip-World Titan, Bounce Below, Ffestiniog Steam Railway and Portmeirion to name just a few), spacious accommodation and a vast outdoor playground on the doorstep, Plas Blaenddol is a popular choice whether you want to simply relax with family, get active with friends or celebrate a milestone occasion.
The impressive ancient manor house dates back two hundred and fifty years and is home to Lake House (sitting in the south-west wing sleeping up to five guests in two bedrooms) and the Old Bell House (occupying the west wing and sleeping up to ten guests in four bedrooms; or eleven with the use of a fold-up bed). The Lodge sleeps four guests in two bedrooms (or six with the use of a day-bed) and is the old gatehouse to the estate, just a short stroll from the manor house where the owners also live.
Nestling amidst expansive grounds of nine acres, Plas Blaenddol offers plenty of space to relax inside and out. The Old Bell House Kitchen is an incredibly social space, providing catering facilities for all and a large dining table seating up to twenty guests - the perfect place to get everyone around one table for supper at the end of the day. There is also a hot tub in the garden of Old Bell House, log burners in each property, comfy bedrooms (most with wonderful views to wake up to), parking for up to ten cars, a games room to entertain, bike storage and a picturesque setting with lake and woodland adding to the appeal.
Sitting at the mouth of the beautiful Vale of Ffestiniog, there are no shortage of great days out and outdoor adventures to enjoy, whether your passion is walking, cycling, rock climbing or white-water rafting. Less than fifteen minutes away you have world-class mountain biking at Coed y Brenin; Bounce Below (an exciting underground playground); Zip-World for adrenaline junkies; the tourist village of Portmeirion by the sea; the Ffestiniog Steam Railway (a fabulous way of taking in forty miles of stunning scenery); and the golden beaches of Borth y Gest and Harlech.
Alternatively, if that all sounds too energetic, simply relax and soak up the fabulous views from the grounds of Plas Blaenddol over a glass or two of wine; find a quiet spot in the grounds to relax with a good book; try your hand at fishing on the River Tiegl or lace up your walking boots and discover the beauty of the local area.
