Homestead Barn is located in a peaceful and secluded part of Goldstone, within walking distance of the Shropshire Union Canal and the Wharf Tavern, a popular pub serving food and cask ale. Available for weekly and short breaks all year round. Homestead Barn is perfect for a romantic break, couples or self catering family holiday.
Shropshire boasts some of the finest scenery on the country and this is an ideal place from which to explore it. Take a leisurely stroll on the towpath along the Shropshire Union Canal or cycle the lanes and explore the surrounding villages. You can even hire a canal narrow boat from Norbury Wharf for the day.
Coarse fishing is available on the canal or fly fishing is approximately four miles away at the local trout fishery. For those who enjoy golf the championship courses at Hawkstone Park, Market Drayton, Lilleshall and Hill Valley are all within easy reach.
Market Drayton, the home of the Gingerbread, is five miles away with its popular street Market every Wednesday and indoor swimming pool. The attractive town of Newport is 7 miles away and offers a great selection of specialist shops, stocked with tempting mouth watering goodies and gifts.
There are plenty of glorious gardens nearby including Hodnet Hall Gardens, Wollerton Old Hall, Goldstone Hall, Hawkstone Park Follies, the National Trust property Attingham Park and Dorothy Clive Garden (who serve a delicious cream tea and tasty snacks in their tearoom).
