Frog Mill Barn encapsulates country charm. The Grade-II Shropshire holiday cottage is on Colemore Farm, three miles north of Bridgnorth and close to Broseley. It is a picture of red brick walls with original oak beams surrounded by farm land and beautiful countryside. Being child and dog-friendly makes it a favourite with families, though with two ensuite bedrooms, it's equally comfortable for couples and friends. The owner, Anna, has created an unforgettable sanctuary where you can fully breathe out and relax, enjoying the peaceful setting and recharging your soul. It's ideally located for exploring this beautiful corner of England but also ideal for a quiet escape.
Bridgnorth could not be a better spot for a holiday. Although peaceful and rural, the central location between Birmingham, Ironbridge, Shrewsbury and Ludlow makes it great for sightseeing. You're surrounded not only by stunning countryside but also by centuries of pivotal history. Visit Ironbridge Gorge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and cradle of the Industrial Revolution. If that feels too modern, you have your choice of castles to visit, including Ludow, where Henry VIII's older brother died, making him king and changing the church. The Shropshire border with Wales is marked by Offa's Dyke. Now a popular long-distance footpath, it was constructed in the 780s to suppress the Welsh. The county is famous for the quality of its food and drink. If you don't time your visit to coincide with the annual Ludlow Festival in mid-September, you can still enjoy the local produce in many farm shops and restaurants.
One of Shropshire's biggest attractions is its landscape. Rolling hills, valleys, farms and orchards make it a gorgeous year-round destination for anyone who appreciates a beautiful view. Frog Mill Barn has excellent access to walking and cycling routes, and there's secure storage at the cottage for guests who bring their bicycles to make the most of its trails. There are some lovely woods nearby where there are walks to the disused railway line that runs from Bridgnorth to Shrewsbury along the River Severn. Every aspect of Frog Mill Cottage has been carefully considered to ensure your stay is easy and relaxed. From the moment you arrive, until you pull away from the drive, you'll feel entirely at home in this rural escape.
