The Cow Shed at Cop Farm is a spacious retreat with hot tub just a mile from Peak Forest village and the popular Devonshire Arms pub. Beautifully decorated and with stunning Peak District views it is perfect for getting away with family and friends. There is space for up to ten guests to sleep in five bedrooms, with accommodation that perfectly blends modern conveniences with the quirky features you would expect for a property of this age, assuring guest comfort and relaxation at any time of the year.
Sitting in a tranquil location at 1,300 feet above sea level, The Cow Shed enjoys stunning panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. There are plenty of opportunities to get out and about. Walk or cycle the traffic free Monsal Trail or enjoy one of the many walks around Peak Forest including a stretch of the 15 mile Peak Forest Canal where you can see the Scheduled Ancient Monuments of the Marple Aqueduct and Bugsworth Basin.
If the weather isn’t on your side spend a day at one of the spectacular caverns including Blue John, Speedwell, Peak Cavern or Treak Cliff. Or if majestic houses are more your thing you will love a day out at the magnificent Chatsworth House where you will find a parkland and zoo as well as the house and gardens. End the day with a cup of tea and slice of Bakewell tart in the market town of Bakewell.
The thriving spa town of Buxton is just seven miles away. Admire the Georgian and Victorian architecture by following one of the towns themed trails or enjoy a day browsing the independent shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. You will find a variety of performances at the Buxton Opera House and the Pavilion Arts Centre or you may prefer to indulge in a spa treatment at the Buxton Crescent Hotel.
The Cow Shed is perfectly designed for a self-catering holiday. It allows you to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life yet it is just a stroll from the local pub and a short distance to the Peak District’s main attractions. With short breaks available it is easy to enjoy just for a weekend but you are likely to want to stay for longer!

After extensive refurbishment, The Cow Shed has been transformed into a superb holiday retreat with hot tub, perfect for large parties of up to ten guests in five bedrooms. Guests can enjoy glorious views, a high standard of accommodation (with some quirky period charm thrown in) and plenty of space inside and out to relax with friends or family.

Outside: Guests have plenty of space to relax outside with patio including outdoor seating, BBQ and a hot tub seating six. The views are simply stunning in all directions and there are lawn areas to relax on a sunny day. Off-road parking.
Additional information: Hen parties are accepted but unfortunately no stag or all male parties. Children welcome (but must be supervised around the hot tub). Unfortunately no pets. Prices include heating, bed linen, towels and electricity. As you would expect for an old property, The Cow Shed has some quirky features like narrow stairs and low beams so it may not be suitable for those with limited mobility - please discuss your requirements with the owner before booking. Available for weekend and mid-week breaks all year round.
