Shepherd's Cottage is situated at Castleton on a family run working farm in the Heart of the Peak District National Park . It is converted from an traditional Shippen- fabulous quiet welcoming paradise, with beautiful views changing with the seasons that will make you what to move in. It is near many sights also with numerous attractions nearby. that make it a year round destination.. You are surrounded by fields and footpaths directly from the door, including to the Great ridge walk and splendid views over the Edale Valley to the famose Kinder Scout Castleton boasts 6 pubs, lots of tea rooms and show cavens. The cottage is just a 15-20 walk to the nearest pub. Shepherd's cottage sleeps 4 people plus a cot if required, which suits families, friends or couples.
The Hope Valley is the perfect place to explore the Peak District in addition to the wonderful scenery there are numerous attractions including Blue John cavern , Treak Cliff cavern, and Peak cavern in the village. Further afield you have Chatsworth House, Haddon hall, Hardwick Hall, Lyme park and the plague village of Eyam. If you have any energy left you could cycle,, swimming, parascending, gliding and climbing
Or just sit out side and enjoy a barbecue and drink, enjoining the view across the valley.
