Thornrigg is a detached property with generous gardens. It is situated at the end of a quiet lane with footpaths from the door to fields and riverside walks. One mile to Alnmouth beach, either mostly off road walking, or 5 minute drive to large seaside car park. The house has parking for 2/3 cars. The house sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms, one double and one twin. Travel cot, tie on high chair and baby bath available. Upstairs bathroom with bath and shower over. Separate toilet. Downstairs there is a large lounge, dining room, kitchen, downstairs toilet and attached garage for dog drying and feeding and bike storage.
Lesbury village has shop and pub. Alnmouth has several shops, pubs and restaurants. Alnwick (4 miles) has supermarkets and many eateries.
Many dog friendly beaches within easy reach. Lots of local pubs and cafes are dog friendly.
Northumberland has lots of space for walking and observing the abundant wildlife. We also boast many castles and lots of fabulous countryside. In Alnwick are the famous castle and gardens and Lilidorei, a children's fantasy experience!
Many outdoor activities are available locally including golf, cycling, kayaking, diving and fishing. Boat rides to the Farne Islands are a nature lovers treat, and dogs are allowed on the boats. Many beaches are safe for swimming, or there is a leisure centre in Alnwick with swimming pool and climbing wall.
