The Old Stables is a gorgeous example of a Norfolk flint holiday cottage. Tucked away on a quiet development just outside the village centre and a relaxed 15/20 minute stroll from West Runton beach, the property is both a comfortable and convenient place to stay for your next self-catering holiday on the Norfolk coast. The spacious layout easily accommodates families of up to five people in two bedrooms while still welcoming to couples. The Links Country Park Hotel and Golf Club is just across the road, along with The Hole in One bar, making it easy to pop across for drinks or dinner should you not wish to cook.
West Runton is a fantastic Blue Flag beach beloved by families for generations. The shoreline is a mix of sand and shingle with impressive views from sheltering cliffs, a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and where the biggest mammoth skeleton in the UK was found. West Runton has a village shop selling all the essentials and a mainline train station with regular services to Sheringham, Cromer and Norwich. As well as having the run of West Runton beach, you're barely two miles from Sheringham beach and three miles from Cromer.
The Hillside Shire Horse Sanctuary is close enough to the cottage that you can swing by every morning and greet the residents. Another local attractions is the North Norfolk Steam Railway. The Royal Cromer and Sheringham Golf Courses provide alternatives to West Runton, or the pier and traditional seaside entertainments of Cromer may be more to your taste. Sheringham Park is lovely all year round, as are the Priory Maze and Gardens. Amazona Zoo, beWILDerwood, and SEA LIFE Hunstanton are always popular with the kids. Norfolk Lavender and a wide choice of National Trust properties and other historic buildings like Sandringham are excellent choices for a family day out.
The Old Stables is child and dog-friendly, with well-behaved dogs welcome by arrangement and a small surcharge. Bookings are available all year round. Depending on availability, The Old Stables can be booked together with Custard Cottage, the owner's other property, which sleeps up to eight guests.

The Old Stables is a charming holiday home made from local flint. It has a traditional layout with accommodation entirely on ground floor level.
Downstairs:
Outside: There is a private courtyard with off-street parking for one car out the front of The Old Stables. The rear garden has seating and a barbecue area, secure storage for bicycles, and a gate that opens directly onto the common.
Additional Information: Up to three well-behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement. A travel cot (no bedding) and a high chair are available - please request these when booking. Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are provided. Guests to bring beach towels. Smoking is not permitted.
