Shrimp Cottage is a quiet holiday cottage in the peaceful village of Weybourne. The three-bedroom, two-bathroom, detached holiday property sleeps five people and suits families, extended families, and friends, especially those who want to explore the spectacular countryside as well as Norfolk's Deep History Coast. You can walk to the beach, village shop and the friendly Ship Inn pub all in ten minutes or less, so it's incredibly convenient for your self-catering holiday on the Norfolk coast. Weybourne is within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is a fantastic choice for a holiday not only in summer but in all seasons.
Weybourne doesn't attract the summer crowds of better-known beaches, like Cromer, making the pretty shingle beach even more attractive. Climb aboard the heritage North Norfolk Railway Line and take a scenic ride to Holt or Sheringham, which are excellent places for a fun day out with your family and friends. Even walking around the village is a pleasure - there is woodland around the house and footpaths leading through the remains of an Augustinian priory and an old windmill that dates from 1850. Paths also lead from the village to beauty spots like Muckleburgh Hill, Kelling Heath, and you can enjoy the beautiful gardens of Sheringham Park just over three miles from the cottage. Those interested in military machines and history will be excited to know that the impressive Muckleburgh Collection is only half a mile from the cottage.
Guests at Shrimp Cottage aren't limited to just the beach for their entertainment because there is a huge choice of activities and attractions to enjoy. Horse riding, golf, beach fishing and swimming are easily accessible, as is bicycle hire for guests who need it. Other local attractions include Cromer Pier, Felbrigg Hall, the Hillside Animal and Shire Horse Sanctuary, and Hilltop Outdoor Centre. There are stately homes, National Trust properties, nature reserves, museums and galleries. Bookings are welcome all year round.
