Rosalind Cottage is a mid-nineteenth century terraced fisherman's cottage which has been carefully and sensitively modernised in recent years. Situated on Cley High Street, the village deli, smokehouse and one of the three village pubs are all just a few metres from the front door. The iconic Cley windmill is just round the corner and the nearest beach is only a 20-minute walk across the scenic marshes, or a few minutes by car or bike. The cottage has a fully-enclosed, sunny rear garden with a BBQ and a range of seating options - the perfect spot for an al fresco summer lunch or evening sundowner. In winter, the log-burner becomes the cottage's warming heart.
The property offers comfortable accommodation for to up to five people and two dogs. A sixth roll-out bed is available by prior request. Please note: all three bedrooms are accessed by a traditional but steep 'Norfolk winder' staircase, making this property unsuitable for people with significant mobility issues.
The cottage is bookable by the night (minimum of two nights stay) to allow you maximum flexibility in planning your holiday/short break. The owners maintain a single nightly tariff throughout the year to enhance accessibility for families with school-age children and others who are unable to holiday outside peak periods.
Rosalind Cottage makes an excellent base for exploring the many year-round activities and attractions Norfolk has to offer - including the thriving Cathedral city of Norwich; the world-class bird-watching on Cley marshes; seal-spotting off Blakeney Point; the stunning beach at Holkham; the quiet lanes for cycling and running that reach off in every direction; the myriad of coastal and country walks; the pubs, cafes and quirky independent shops in the nearby market town of Holt and the water sports opportunities on the coast or the Norfolk Broads. Cley Harbour is just a few minutes walk away, providing a convenient location to launch kayaks and other small craft.
