Narroogal at Home Farm is one of a collection of superb self-catering holiday cottages on the Norfolk Coast. There is space for seven people with room for a cot, so it is ideal for families and friends who want a beach holiday in a comfortable cottage where the owner has taken care to anticipate their needs and furnish the property accordingly. Home Farm has a number of other properties, and you can either book Narroogal on its own or together with other cottages to accommodate larger groups - perfect if you want a summer holiday with your extended family and friends without giving up your privacy. The location on the edge of Weybourne village is calm and peaceful, yet within walking distance of the beach, village shop and the Ship Inn pub.
Weybourne is a friendly farming community in a fantastic location on the Norfolk coast. In addition to a good variety of essentials, the village shop also has a cafe, and the excellent pub serves locally sourced food, accompanied by a large selection of over 100 Gins! The seaside town of Sheringham is only three miles away, offering a further choice of places to eat, drink and shop. There are some wonderful walks from the village, leading through beautiful countryside, marshes, woodland and heath as well as along the coast. Home Farm is handy for public transport so you can explore widely even if you do not have a car. A favourite trip is from Sheringham to Holt aboard the vintage North Norfolk Steam Railway.
There is a wealth of activities to suit everyone within easy reach of Narroogal at Home Farm. Many visitors come for the fantastic beaches and find they are spoilt for choice. Weybourne is a mix of shingle and pebbles, while Cromer and Hunstanton have soft sand and West Runton has rock pools that children love to explore. Walk along Blakeney Point and you are almost sure to spot some of the local seals, while Titchwell is perfect for bird watching. The Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty has a wonderfully diverse variety of coastline, with Home Farm being perfectly placed to access the most beautiful spots with ease.
Days inland are as much fun as on the coast. The Muckleburgh Military Museum is within walking distance of the cottage, as is the North Norfolk Steam Railway and there are three golf courses within just a few miles. Popular family-friendly attractions include Priory Maze and Gardens, Dinosaur Adventure Park and the Bure Valley Railway, while historical houses such as Holkham Hall, Blickling Hall, Baconsthorpe Castle and the Queen’s own Sandringham Estate are perfect for those who dream of owning an enormous country pile!
Norfolk has been a favourite family holiday destination for generations with good reason. The landscape is stunning, and there is always something interesting to see or do whether it is watching a carnival or tucking into the freshest catch of the day you can imagine. It doesn’t matter whether you are a regular visitor to the North Norfolk coast or this is your first time, the welcome you receive at Narroogal or any of the cottages at Home Farm will make you feel right at home.
