East View offers welcoming accommodation for four people in the friendly village of Shouldham in the Nar Valley near Kings Lynn. With two bedrooms sleeping four people, it is ideal for couples, families or friends, and with the award-winning Kings Arms pub and cafe just a few minutes walk away, this could be the most relaxing self-catering holiday you have ever booked!
Shouldham is mainly residential, and the cottage is on a quiet street close to the pretty village green. The village is in the Domesday Book, and there is evidence of an Iron Age settlement in the area. Unusually for a village, the church is on the outskirts, and it is worth spending a peaceful hour looking at the church's features and the surrounding views. Shouldham Woods is less than a mile from the cottage with footpaths and bridleways along which you can cycle or horse ride. Denver and Blackborough End provide more opportunities for horse riding, while Thetford Forest is well-known for its quality of mountain bike trails.
The market town of Kings Lynn is ten miles north of East View, giving visitors not only a good choice of supermarkets, shops and amenities, but also the chance to discover more about this area's maritime and pilgrim past along a self-guided walking route. Kings Lynn has a cinema and theatre, parks and gardens, ancient ruins and modern shopping centres. Other destinations for a day while you are on holiday at East View can include Sandringham House and Gardens (the Christmas and winter residence of Queen Elizabeth), Oxburgh Hall and the market towns of Downham Market and Swaffham. The beautiful Norfolk Coast is half an hour away at Hunstanton, and the famous cities of Cambridge and Norwich are with an hour's drive.
Whatever your reason for visiting Norfolk, whether it is for the birdwatching, walking, cycling, golf, culture or the stunning views, you will find East View a welcoming holiday cottage where you can relax in peace and comfort.

Accommodation Comprises:
East View is on a quiet road opposite a field, so there is no problem with noisy neighbours. Accommodation is all on one level and the cottage is comfortably furnished.
Outside: The front garden is mainly lawn with mature trees, while the garden at the rear of the house is private and secure, with garden furniture and a barbecue. There is off street parking at the front of the cottage with space for up to three cars. The use of the garage is not available for guests, as the owners use it for their own storage, but access to the garage by the owners will not be required while you stay at East View, so you will not be disturbed.
Additional Information: East View has oil-fired central heating and WiFi, and all utilities, bedlinen, duvets and towels are provided. Up to three small or two large dogs are welcome with prior agreement from the owner (an additional fee of £10 per dog is charged) - please enquire when booking. Smoking is not permitted inside the property, but there is a covered area for smokers in the garden. EastView is accessible by public transport - a regular bus runs from the village to Kings Lynn bus station, which is a couple of minutes walking distance from Kings Lynn train station.
