Cow Parsley Cottage is on a quiet street in the picturesque village of Kettlestone just a few miles from the beautiful North Norfolk coast. The cottage has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere which, coupled with its tasteful decor and high-quality furnishings, makes it the perfect place for couples who appreciate its comfortable, unfussy style, to explore both the countryside and the beaches that make Norfolk such a fantastic holiday destination.
Kettlestone sits neatly between the towns of Fakenham and Holt, just a few minutes’ drive from each. Fakenham is the largest market town in north Norfolk and has a great variety of amenities. The regular market is held every Thursday and has roots going back nearly 900 years to 1250, and there is a good choice of local retailers as well as a large, modern supermarket, to make shopping here a pleasure. The surrounding countryside is a favourite with cyclists and walkers, who enjoy beautiful routes including the path alongside the River Wensum.
A few miles in the opposite direction, Holt is notable for its pretty Georgian buildings housing cafes, restaurants, galleries and bookshops. The self-guided Holt Owl Trail is an easy way to see the town, while the extensive grounds of Holt Country Park has a range of nature walks passing through native woodland. Local attractions include Blakeney National Nature Reserve, Sheringham Park, Blickling Hall, and the abbey and basilica at Little Walsingham. Norwich is also within easy reach, offering a fantastic array of shops, restaurants, historic sights and the sort of entertainment you would expect from a major city.
The natural beauty of the North Norfolk coastline, much of which is protected as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty or Site of Special Scientific Interest, is an undeniable reason so many visitors come for their holidays year after year. Kettlestone has the atmosphere of a country village yet is only a short drive away from coastal towns and villages like Wells-next-the-Sea and Blakeney. The surrounding wetlands, marshes, reed beds, lagoons and beaches are home to countless species of wildlife, birds and insects, making even a short walk an adventure of discovery, whatever time of year you visit.
If all you can think about is sitting on the beach and eating a sandwich stuffed with freshly caught crab, taking your binoculars and heading out to see how many different types of birds you can spot, or you want a holiday full of exciting sights and a variety of activities, then Cow Parsley Cottage is perfect for you.

Cow Parsley Cottage is a traditional brick and flint semi-detached period cottage on a quiet street. Accommodation is over two levels.

Outside: The cottage has a private, enclosed garden. A patio area has garden furniture so you can enjoy every last minute of the summer sunshine by eating outdoors, and there is a flat area of lawn as well as a summer house to make it a space you can enjoy in all seasons. Guests have their own parking space.
Additional Information: Cow Parsley Cottage welcomes one large or two small well-behaved dogs. All utilities, WiFi, sheets and towels (not beach towels) are included. Short breaks are possible all year round. Smoking is not permitted.
