Magical Margate Townhouse will bewitch you with its beauty and space. The luxurious period townhouse is perfect for a celebration escape with your family and friends, easily sleeping up to 16 people in eight ensuite bedrooms (plus 2 babies in cots) with lots of space for socialising and having fun. The owners have cleverly created a space that feels both historic and contemporary, mixing the house's original features and graceful proportions with modern comforts and a 21st Century design. The beautiful holiday home is just outside of Margate's town centre and only a few minutes' walk from the beach and towns many attractions, pubs, cafes and shops.
Margate has experienced a well-deserved revival. This queen's crown has been polished and its parks, promenade and town centre are once again the sparkling jewels that attract not only holidaymakers but also a new generation of residents who have transformed Margate into a buzzing community. The house is in a conservation area and across the road from a park and play area. You can walk to the beach in around five-minutes, while Margate Old Town, Margate Main Sands and the long Victorian promenade are only a little further. The location is perfect as it is close enough to everything for convenience yet still quiet and peaceful (the coastal path is a 2-minute walk and there are water sports and pubs within 5-minutes as well as a bowling alley and bar just 2-minutes away).
As you would hope to find in a Victorian resort, Margate is packed with traditional seaside attractions that include places like the Dreamland vintage theme park with its long wooden rollercoaster, the Hornby Hobbies Visitor Centre dedicated to all things model-related, Margate Caves, and the fantastic Turner Contemporary gallery on the seafront. The town has a full calendar of events that include festivals, markets and live theatre and music performances.
Days out can include a trip to the RAF Manston History Museum, walking around Monkton Nature Reserve, cycling the popular circular Viking Coastal Trail, or shopping and sightseeing in the historic city of Canterbury which is only about half an hour's drive from the house.
Short breaks are available all year round and, with Margate being less than 90-minutes by train from London St Pancras station, it's ideal for a short break or a longer stay with your extended family or friends. If you're searching for somewhere to celebrate a milestone birthday or a special event, then this Magical Margate Townhouse is ideal.
