The Old Inn is a traditional Exmoor cottage right in the heart of the National Park, sleeping four to five guests in two double bedrooms plus a small single. With traditional furnishings throughout, the cottage retains much old-world charm and provides an ideal base for exploring the areas many attractions be it by foot, bike or car.
With a lovely log fire in the sitting room and range in the kitchen/diner, accommodation is dog-friendly, cosy and welcoming at any time of the year. It is also well priced to provide affordable self-catering for families, walkers and also couples who like a little extra space around them.
Quaint and full of character, The Old Inn is located close to Wheddon Cross in the peaceful little hamlet of Luckwell Bridge, alongside the B3224 near the Somerset and Devon border. Perfect for walkers, the surrounding countryside offers a lovely mix of farmland, moorland and wooded areas to explore. Cycling and horse riding are popular pursuits in the area, as is fishing. Well known for its close location to Snowdrop Valley which is stunning when in full bloom in February, Wheddon Cross has a pub for those wanting a meal out and also a village store for stocking up on provisions.
The Old Inn is within easy driving distance of the areas many attractions including Dunster with its magnificent castle and sandy beach, the seaside resort of Minehead, Lynton and Lynmouth (connected by the cliff top railway - dog-friendly!). Tarr Steps, Cleeve Abbey, Arlington Court and the West Somerset Railway are amongst other popular attractions.
Exmoor National Park is a pleasure to visit at any time of the year. It offers a calendar packed full of festivals and events, welcoming traditional pubs serving the finest of local produce, Blue Flag beaches on its stunning coastline, pretty villages and a vast outdoor playground for a host of outdoor activities.

Additional information: Dogs are welcome and there is a kennel which you are welcome to use next to the house. Beds are made up ready for your arrival with fresh linen - please just bring your own towels. Electricity and heating included in the price. Wi-Fi internet access. The cottage sleeps four guests in comfort but can accommodate five with the use of the single bedroom.
