Like many grand country properties, Hollywood House was designed and decorated as a destination. Everything you need is ready and waiting or easily arranged so you and your guests can unwind without leaving its grounds. Recline in the sunshine on a lounger by the plunge pool and hot tub, do yoga outdoors under centuries-old Monkey Puzzle trees, meditate in the woodland cabin, or sit on the patio with a sundowner and enjoy expansive views across the Derwent Valley. Every booking includes a professional croupier for a casino night at the roulette wheel and blackjack table. The owner can help you tailor the perfect package, putting you in contact with everyone from private chefs to beauty therapists and photographers to make your stay completely unforgettable.
Blackbrook is a lovely village in Derbyshire. Hollywood House is two miles from Belper. Cross the River Derwent, and you're in the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site, in a market town with an excellent independent High Street, award-winning eateries, and a choice of bars and pubs for a relaxed drink or two. The shops in Belper are great but those with a passion for retail therapy should follow the Amber Valley Individual Factory Shop Trail for tantalising bargains.
Walk for miles through beautiful countryside or hire some bikes to explore further. Both activities are excellent ways to build up an appetite or work off the excess of a big meal. Alton Towers and Chatsworth House are each a 30-40 minute drive from Hollywood House. Though offering completely different experiences, they are always popular for days out. Poole Cavern, Crich Tramway Museum, and The Blue John Cavern are alternatives.

Outside: Five acres of landscaped grounds inclose an extensive outdoor patio, a pool terrace with a spa pool (the pool is only open from April-October inclusive) and a hot tub, and a children's play area. There is a timber cabin with a firepit hidden away in the woods, and ample parking.
Additional Information: Bed linen, bath towels, utilities, and WiFi are included. The owner can help arrange catering and extra activities. Smoking indoors and pets are not permitted.
