1 Church Terrace sleeps up to three guests and is a charming brick built holiday cottage that is located next to the owner's former rectory which dates back to the 17th Century, right in the very heart of Bodfari's Conservation Area. Recently refurbished to a high standard throughout, the cottage is ideal for couples and small families (children over five or babes in arms accepted).
Sitting on the side of the Vale of Clwyd within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Bodfari is well placed for exploring the many attractions of North Wales and enjoying a vast array of outdoor activities throughout the Clwydian Range and Snowdonia with fantastic walks, cycle rides and views for those who simply want to relax and unwind in a picturesque setting.
Spend your days walking Offa's Dyke (which runs just five hundred yards from the cottage), climbing Snowdon, pony trekking, fishing, surfing, enjoying a game of golf or for adrenaline junkies, experience the thrill of zip lining and gliding with some of the best thermals to be found in the UK (the gliding club also offers driving experience in cars for children of ten plus). There are leisure centres and spa's for those who need a little pampering whilst away and many beaches for those who like the seaside around Llandudno and Anglesey (within easy reach). Even Ireland is only a day trip away by ferry from Holyhead.
Bodfari has immense appeal including a small cafe and shop attached to the Oriel Gallery where the potter is in residence and you are able to purchase original paintings, prints, and high quality hand-made jewellery as well as modern art pottery. There is also a pub within a short walk of the cottage, and the renowned Dinorben Arms Inn next to the church which has recently undergone extensive refurbishment and re-opened as an excellent gastro pub (just a few steps from the cottage!). The surrounding area offers a good choice of other pubs and places for a meal out.
For history lovers, there are plenty of sites to see. The church in Bodfari has a Norman tower, and the medieval market town of nearby Denbigh has castle ruins that date as far back as the 13th century. Ruthin is another historic attraction with its old jail and castle.
Whether you want to spend your days active, exploring or simply relaxing in the peace and tranquility, 1 Church Terrace is a superb self-catering holiday choice - the owners look forward to welcoming you to Bodfari!
