Varden House comfortably sleeps up to six people in three bedrooms and is perfect for families. The gorgeous barn conversion is on the owner's farm, surrounded by fields and access to a fishing lake. The location is calm and rural yet only a few miles from Pershore and within easy reach of Worcester and Birmingham. It's a fantastic place to stay whether you're in the area for a relaxing holiday or want a welcoming home-away-from-home while in the area for business.
Pershore is exactly what you'd expect a Midlands market town to be. There's a regular market held every Wednesday to Saturday, and a choice of other places to eat, drink and shop. Elegant Georgian buildings indicate the importance and prosperity of the town, which has a stunning Abbey and a bridge that bears the scars of the Civil War. The ancient cathedral city of Worcester is only 10 miles or a 20-minute drive away, with more shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. As Worcester is a university town with a big student population, it also has a thriving nightlife.
You'll fall in love with the beauty of the countryside around Varden House. Tiddesley Wood is a favourite spot for a walk, being only four miles away and easy to reach on foot or by bike if you'd rather not drive. The woodland formed shortly after the Ice Age and was noted in the Domesday Book. You'll feel your stress simply melt away as you wander around the trees, admiring bluebells in spring or the rich colours of autumn. Mountain bikers will appreciate being within easy reach of the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and there are golf courses and riding schools a short drive from the cottage.
Day trips can include shopping in Birmingham, a flutter on the horses at Cheltenham Racecourse, and exploring pretty Cotswold towns like Broadway, Moreton-in-Marsh and Chipping Campden. Stratford-Upon-Avon is within half an hour of Varden House, and the area is rich with sites of historic interest.
Varden House is next to Broad Iron Cottage which sleeps four people in two rooms. The two can be booked together to accommodate extended families or groups of friends. Please see the owner's website for information.

Outside: Varden House has a covered patio accessed via French doors from the living room. It shares a big (400 square metre!) area of lawn with adjacent Broad Iron Cottage. BBQ and on-site fishing is available. There is off-street parking next to the cottage.
Additional Information: All utilities, WiFi, bed linen and towels are included. There is an additional cleaning fee of £50. One well-behaved pet is welcome through prior arrangement. A cot (no bedding), highchair and stairgate are all available on request. Smoking is not allowed.
